Madoqua saliana (Salt's dik-dik) ia most common in semi-desert, buxhland, and thickets of the Horn of Africa but is also known from easster Sudan and northern Kenya.
There are five subspecies which differ in their coloration. In 2003, Cotterill recommended that each of the subspecies be treated as a species.
